on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from a heart attack at the age of 60. He was born in Albany, Oregon March 27, 1953 to Wayne and Irene Patrick. He was raised in South Bend, Wash. and graduated from South Bend High School in 1972, where he made many lifelong friendships.
David worked for many years as a brilliant heavy equipment mechanic and could fix anything with an engine. David will be remembered for those Norwegian blue eyes and his gentle, kind spirit that always greeted you with a smile. He had a passion for cooking and not a day went by that a recipe wasn’t shared.
In Heaven, his mother, Irene Patrick, and his stepdaughter, Lana Green, will greet him. He is survived by his father, Wayne Patrick, brothers John (Linda) Patrick and Darrell (Cathy 2011), and five children: Tracey Tracy (Lawrence), Ron Patrick, Jim Patrick (Dori), Louise Patrick, Dustin Patrick (Meredith), two step-children, Carrie Green and Becky Hancock (Shae), 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A potluck reception to remember the good times will be held at the South Bend First Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 27 at Noon.
