Winlock band and choir to perform Thursday

The Winlock Middle School and High School music students will be performing a free concert Thursday evening at the High School, and the public is invited to attend.

The choir will perform first at 6:30, followed by the band at 7:30. A reception with refreshments will follow the performances.

Yard debris disposal in Toledo

The City of Toledo will be facilitating yard debris drop-off starting Friday and continuing through the following week.

This will be for yard waste, grass clippings, leaves, branches and other organic yard debris for composting, and will continue until the dumpster is full. This event is sponsored by Lewis County Public Works, Solid Waste Utility and paid for through a grant from Department of Ecology. For information, call (360) 864-4564.

Sale at Winlock Community Building

The Winlock Lions Club will be holding a second-hand and craft sale at the Community Building Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and vendor space remains available.

The first of many fundraisers intended to sustain the improvements and upkeep of the building, vendor spaces are available for $10, and those simply wishing to drop by and shop are encouraged to do so. For more info, call (360) 785-4817.

Toledo’s annual Cleanup Day this Saturday

Vision:Toledo will be holding their annual community cleanup event this Saturday and supporters of the Toledo community are invited to attend.

Starting at 9 a.m. at the boat launch, various landscaping, painting and cleaning projects are planned throughout the day, with a free lunch for volunteers planned around noon. The city has also secured a 40-yard dumpster for yard debris, with help from a Department of Ecology grant. For more information, go to www.visiontoledo.org or call Mike Stavig at (360) 864-2334.

All Community Garage Sale

On Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 20th Annual ALL Community Garage Sale will be happening in the little communities East of Kelso.

More than 40 families will be organizing a "Spring Cleaning" event by offering great deals by selling some of their precious belongings to those avid treasure seekers! The map of the garage sale will have homes & businesses listed. You can pick up a map at Rose Valley Grange @ 1520 Rose Valley Rd., Kelso, H & I Grocery Store @ 1221 Rose Valley Rd., Kelso or Carrolls Country Store @ 3803 Old Pacific Highway South in Carrolls, WA the morning of the event.

In conjunction with the event: the volunteers at Rose Valley Elementary school PTO and the Rose Valley Grange will be on hand that day...selling out of their facilities - besides all of the houses on the map.

Come out and enjoy the great time by shopping in the country!
