Unity Works hosting live music, potluck

Members of the group Unity Works will be holding a gathering at the Winlock Community Building on Saturday, Aug. 30, and all are welcome to attend.

A faith-based group rooted in the idea that all religions and peoples come from the same God, Unity Works has invited drummers from Congo Willie Productions to perform, as well as guest speaker Paula Warme to talk about her personal spiritual journey to find unity in religion.

Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m. followed by drumming and group singing at 10 a.m. and a potluck at noon, while crafts will be available for sale throughout the day. For more information, contact Dora at (360) 864-2936.

Ryderwood to hold community yard sale

The community of Ryderwood will be holding their neighborhood-wide yard sale this weekend and area residents are invited to drop by and find great deals.

Located right at the end of SR 506, residents around town will have items for sale, including a few houses themselves. The Women's Club will also be featuring items at Pioneer Hall, while an indoor flea market will be set up inside the Community Hall Auditorium.
