The Pacific County Commissioners met on Tuesday, August 25 for their regular bi-monthly meeting where they first commemorated Brandi Huber for 20 years of service, and Elaine Buchanan for 40 years of service. After the commemoration of service the commissioners moved on to the consent agenda. Items that were on the agenda included: the approval of hire of Carolyne Perez as Administrative Assistant, the approval of hire of Charmayne Simpson and Chloe Crane for the county fair, the approval of the reappointment of Diane Knutson and Rebecca Chaffee to the Joint Pacific County Housing Authority.
After the consent agenda was approved, the Pacific County Commissioners approved vendor claims for $132,648.47, along with the minutes from the prior meeting of August 11.
The commissioners approved some business in regards to the Pacific County Fair; the county has a contract with Pitchwood Alehouse for a beer garden at the fair.
The commissioners approved a service contract for School Nurse Services with the Ocean Beach School District, but the position is open and they are advertising for it to be filled. Next, for items regarding boards and commissions, Warren Cowell was appointed to citizen position for Lead Entity Citizens Committee for the Willapa Bay WRIA #24, and Mike Cassinelli was appointed the city position.
With the appointing of the two individuals to WRIA, the commissioners called the meeting adjourned.
The next Pacific County Commissioner's meeting will be held Tuesday, September 8 at the Pacific County Courthouse Annex.
