Cheese Days Celebration kicks off July 12

The Cheese Days kick-off celebration starts at Morgan Arts Centre on Thursday, July 12 at 6:00 p.m. Morgan Arts Centre and Art Gallery 505, and owners Di & Mike Morgan, are an integral part of the community of Toledo and Cheese Days.

Morgan Arts Centre started in 1987 in a double-wide mobile home. Ten years later construction started on the new Morgan Arts Centre building and work was completed in 1999. For several years, Morgan Arts Centre has been a meeting place for the Toledo Cheese Days Committee and other community groups. Many Cheese Days' events take place at Morgan Arts Centre and Art Gallery 505.

Mike Morgan stated, "The Lions Club/Cheese Day Committee is hosting the Cheese Days Kick-Off Celebration at our Arts Centre starting at 6:00 p.m. on July 12.

The public is invited." The cost is $10 and it includes live music by Tom and Bonnie, hors de oeuvres, refreshments and door prizes. Mike continued, "This is an opportunity to meet the Big Cheeses for 2018, Jerry & Kay Pratt and Ed & Jeanne Borte. We welcome everyone to the Kick-Off Celebration. Let's start Cheese Days off right and make it a full house at Morgan Arts Centre."

Morgan Arts Centre will also be the location for the 50th reunion of the Toledo High School class of 1968 on Saturday afternoon/evening.

Toledo Made will be held at Art Gallery 505 on Thursday, July 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on both Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Toledo Made will display and sell art and other things made by those who live in the greater Toledo community.
