Photo by Patrick L. Myers - Just before Thanksgiving the Bogwater Brewery/Cranberry Road Winery went up in flames. The storms this winter have caused more damage to the burned building.
The Bogwater Brewery and Cranberry Road Winery were found to be engulfed in flames on the evening of Tuesday, November 24. The fire cleared the inside of the building out, and caused considerable damage to the structure of the building. By the time the Grays Harbor Emergency Dispatch was notified at around 6pm, the building was already up in flames.
South Beach fire fighter arrived and it took them around four hours for the 27 volunteers to put the fire out. The fire erupted during hours that the brewery was closed, and nobody was inside. There were zero injuries caused by the fire, and zero injuries sustained by the fire fighters while they quelled the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown, due to the fact that the fire caused so much damage, and was so intense that the investigator from Unified Investigations and Sciences Incorporated could not determine the cause. Multiple investigators from different companies have been on site to collect evidence that mostly consisted of appliances, such as: refrigerators, a cable box, a computer router. All of these items will be examined to determine if one of the appliances could have been the culprit. A full report on the cause of the fire is not expected to be completed and released for months.
