Cantwell on Obama's ISIL Strategy

Last Wednesday, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) issued the following statement on President Obama's speech outlining the administration's strategy to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL):

"The United States must stop the advances of ISIL. I support the President's counter-terrorism plan of an air campaign and coalition partners on the ground. While we will not be sending U.S. combat troops, I will support the President's plans with the resources necessary to degrade and destroy ISIL."
