Bruce Allen Oakerman

Bruce Allen Oakerman passed away November 9, 2014 with his loving wife, Peggy by his side.

Bruce was born July 3, 1950 in Grants Pass Oregon where he lived through high school graduating he joined the Army in 1973 and served almost 10 years in the medical corp as a Clinical Specialist. After discharge he went to school to be a welder & heavy equipment mechanic. A number of years later he returned to schooling once more to become an Electrical Engineering Designer, until retirement in 2010.

Bruce was a loving father and Grandfather to he and Peggy's combined families which included 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons.

Bruce went on many journeys in life, enjoying the game of golf, horses and trail riding, beach combing and clamming, reading, cooking entertaining, making and collecting friends. Most dear to his heart however, was fishing the Cowlitz, Toutle, and Green rivers. Bruce was an original board member of The Toledo Lions Club. He was involved with wood cutting, fireworks sales, Cheese Days, and Reno Night for many years.

A celebration of life gathering is set for Saturday November 22, 2014 at 2 pm - St. Urban Grange in Winlock. In Leiu of flowers, please contribute in Bruce's name to: Toledo Lions Club, PO Box 755, Toledo, WA 98591
