The tractor pull is always a crowd pleaser to see just how far you can pull tons of weight with your best tractor. The weight gets heavier as the distance gets longer and only the mighty survive.
Running this past August 29-30, residents and visitors of Toledo held their 51st annual Threshing Bee and celebrated with tractor pulls and showing of farm implements. A larger than normal estimated crowd came to celebrate the event running since 1964.
Serving as the community's major fundraiser, the Toledo community helps raise money for groups like the Toledo Senior Center, the 4-H and FFA, local Boy Scouts and the Toledo Food Bank.
The event featured Tractor Exhibitions, a Tractor Parade, A Model "T" Expo, a Threshing Demonstration, Flea Market, a display of gas and diesel engines, rare Steel Wheeled tractors and restored antique farm machinery, antique cars and a stationary baler.
Plenty of events for the kids with a money dive into a straw pile, free train rides and for the adults several vendors and music all weekend to see and enjoy.
