2015 Christmas Spirit Award

For the second year in a row, Winlock's Mayor Lonnie Dowell and his wife have gone around the town of Winlock to find the best Christmas decorations and displays. "Some private citizens donated $100 to have my wife and myself drive around the city and look at the various Christmas displays. We were to select the nicest display and give them the money that was donated." Mayor Dowell described the process for selecting the winner. This year the winner was Mary Bush with her beautiful decorations and lights. While being completely unaware of this community competition, she informed the Mayor that she hadn't even set up all of her decorations! "I hope this is a trend that keeps going up." Mayor Dowell commented. Who knows what will be in stock for the next holiday season.
