Willapa Valley FCCLA participates in “Exceeding Expectations”

Last Monday each member received a list of activities for the week and a sweet treat. Tuesday there were FCCLA Trivia Questions for prizes. Wednesday was FCCLA Bingo and rootbeer floats and all members wore their FCCLA chapter sweatshirt. Thursday nine members traveled to Toledo for STAR Events competition.

Jessica Koski and Bryttney Deniston presented an Illustrated Talk on Lyme Disease Awareness.

Amber Anderson, Sidney Pollard and Clair Borg presented Fighting Child Obesity with their Focus on Children project with the first grade.

Hallee Layman did a Nutrition and Wellness portfolio using Choose My Plate, USDA’s Meal Tracker, and Menu Planner planned 30 days of menus to meet four fitness and wellness goals.

Sixth graders, Chris Rondon and Marissa Hurley created a chapter website for their on-line competition.

State Officer, Chahayla Barton, oversaw the entire meeting for 82 FCCLA members throughout Southest Washington.

Last Friday was FCCLA, Code RED day and all FCCLA members wore red and played Red Rover for prizes during lunch.

Valentine's grams were delivered February 14th to complete the week’s events.
