Willapa Valley FCCLA attends regional meeting

Seven chapters with 130 members and advisers throughout southwest Washington participated in the meeting focusing on the national theme, Discover Your Voice. 

Willapa Valley student Chahayla Barton, the WA-FCCLA Director of Recognition, acted as region 2 vice president to plan and facilitate the meeting along with past WA-FCCLA Officer Brooke Harden. Willapa Valley led four workshops, including Above the Influence, Words Hurt, Career Connections and STEP One. 

Erin Jones from Federal Way School District was the keynote speaker with an inspiring message on diversity, overcoming racism and being better than yourself.

The Lake Quinault chapter provided nametags for the meeting. Montesano High School did a Power Of One workshop on family communication. Elma High School, a new chapter in our region, won the cupcake contest.  Rochester High School held the scholarship raffle for the day. Toledo Middle School /High School did a workshop and roll call.
