U.S. Coast Guard crew medivacs fisherman from vessel off Willapa Bay.
Friday, July 10 the U.S. Coast Guard aircrew had to perform a medivac on a reported fishermen that was going in and out of consciousness. The man's vessel was 48 miles west of Willapa Bay, and the Coast Guard flew in on an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and hoisted the man to EMS personnel who were waiting at the Coast Guard Station in Westport. It was reported that it was the captain's quick action in getting assistance for his crewmember that helped in getting the crew member to safety. The fisherman was brought to Grays Harbor Hospital for treatment.
