Toledo church celebrates past while looking to future

Members of the Toledo Presbyterian Church dedicate a new sign outside the church during their 125th anniversary on Sunday, celebrating the group's establishment in 1889. Interim Pastor Ron Naff said, though the sign indicates merely a physical establishment, it is given meaning through the service and activities of the congregation, further remarking he is impressed with how well-regarded he has found the church to be among local residents. "The reputation of this church in this community is really great," said Naff, who has assumed interim leadership since former long-term pastor Stephen Klump, who was present for the celebration, retired last year. Naff said the search for a full-time pastor is expected to begin within the coming months and will involve looking at the church's historical role within the community as well as where it hopes to be in the years to come.
