We would like to express our appreciation to the Downtown Raymond Clean Up Crew and our business and property owners for their hard work and dedication in helping to beautify our city.
A special thanks to Senja Antill, who conceived and initiated this important project. For the past two and a half weeks she has diligently pressure washed our sidewalks and has committed herself full time to this endeavor for the month of July.
When asked why she is doing this, she said she is doing it for the Willapa Harbor Festival, her community, and her own satisfaction. This year’s festival will have a Battle of the Bands, with bands even coming from Olympia. She sees the Festival as potential to promote and enliven our community and wants to showcase our city in its’ best light. She took this to heart and decided to do it. She has a few volunteers but needs more help, as there is much that can be done.
We would like to encourage others to step up and help with this effort. Even a few hours of work will go a long way in helping to show pride in our community. If you don’t have the time or the ability to volunteer, we know that it would mean a lot to Senja and her crew to receive a show of positive support with a honk, wave, or thumbs-up. You can contact Senja at 360-580-5036. Thank you, Clean Up Crew, for your good work.

P.S. We are also very excited to see the work that the American Legion is doing on their new façade and looking forward to seeing the finished results
