No One Should Go Hungry!

Our new year has gotten well under way. It has begun with much appreciation and gratitude. The outstanding generosity of our business community, private individuals and local schools was overwhelming.

We were able to raise the funds to put together 250 Christmas dinner baskets that contained a full meal. They were able to enjoy a whole 6-pound chicken, chicken broth, stuffing mix, jello, fruit cocktail, dinner rolls, green beans, potatoes, onions, bananas, oranges, and apples along with brownie mix for dessert.

We had quite a rain storm that day along with high tide that made it difficult for some to get to our food bank.

I am so proud to have such wonderful volunteers that took it upon themselves to make many home deliveries so that as many as possible could enjoy their Christmas meal.

I want to publicly thank all who had made this possible. In the difficult times of our world today this was quite a task and it was all of you that made it a success. No one should go hungry.

Thank You,

Bonnie Ryan,

WHMA Food Bank manager
