Local authors Shawn Inmon, of Mossyrock, and Lynne Britton, of Winlock, met readers Tuesday at the Winlock Timberland Library to sign and read from their first novels and discuss their next works.
Inmon's Feels Like the First Time: A True Love Story loses nothing in introducing the ending in the prologue, recounting 30 years haunted by that lingering first love in his hometown of and highlighting the incredible reunion against the odds. Classic rock-and-roll titles head each chapter—favorites songs from the 1970's.
Britton's In Shadows Of Dreams weaves tales and experiences from the author's childhood with fantasy, a mesmerizing account of main character Jesse's exceptional dual life in both a dream world and the common existence realized by ordinary folk. Cover art is a cell phone snapshot of the author's granddaughter stuck in a tree in Toledo's Kemp Olson Park, setting the stage for Jesse's perception of light in the book.
Already in the pipeline is Inmon's sequel, the story as told from a different character’s point of View, plus other works. Visit www.shawninmon.com for more.
Book two of Britton's Trilogy, On The Edge Of Morning, brings sci-fi to blend, and is due out later this year. Find her at http://facebook/laura.kaija.5
