Margaret Ann Habersetzer

Margaret attended WSU where she earned her teaching certificate and degree in home economics. She married David Habersetzer in Toledo September 9, 1961; he survives her at the family home in Frances. Together they raised three sons: Mark, Daryl, and Dean Habersetzer; four daughters: Diane Cavanaugh, Pam McAndie, Tammy Secrist, and Wendy Kirsch. Three brothers, John, Ken, and Jim Raupp and a sister Betty Gauvin, 19 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive Margaret.
She spent many years substitute teaching in Raymond, Willapa Valley, South Bend, and Pe Ell School Districts. Margaret also was a loving homemaker. She was a very active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was a member of many clubs including: quilting club, garden club, the Red Hats, and the Lewis Pacific Swiss Society. She managed the Pacific County Fair for eight years, was Republican Precinct Committeewoman, and was the Pacific County Extension Agent for many years. Margaret was also very active in 4-H and spent years at fairs judging.Margaret enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, quilting, embroidery, canning and baking. She and David also traveled to many corners of the world, including Europe, China, Hawaii, The Holy Land, Canada, and Mexico. In their later years, she and David enjoyed traveling with the Discovery Tours Group.
