The Grays Harbor College Human Services program has come to their deadline for the toy drive on November 29, and now are slated to distribute the toys after a process is carried out on December 11. The process involves the parents of the 310 children that have been registered to receive gifts going to pick out the gifts that have been donated.
The Human Services program is still completing an inventory of toys collected, and have acquired approximately $4,200 to purchase toys with. Hundreds of items have been donated from local businesses, GHC students, and members of the Pacific County and Grays Harbor County communities as well. Once they are done counting and taking inventory, the program will purchase toys for the age groups that have the least toys donated. Ages of recipients range from newborns to 17 years old.
