Napavine's Grace Hamre came into Cheney knowing her potential to shine and bring home a few state championships, but four is quite the haul. Hamre won the 100 (12.78), 200 (26.09), 400 (58.65), and also was a part of the winning 4 x 200 M relay team (1:46.33). The other members of the relay team were Mollie Olson, Xylee Pope, and Alex Pope. Napavine girls placed third overall in points.
Napavine's Mollie Olson won the state triple jump championship, took sixth in 100 M hurdles, and fifth in 300 M hurdles.
On the boys' side for Napavine, Connor Locke won the 100 M sprint to win the state title. Chase Van Wyck placed third in the shot put. Toledo's Josie Bowen placed fifth in the shotput (36-10.75).
Winlock's Jessica Neal tied for second in the high jump (5-0), beat out by defending state high jump champion Scout Cai of Colfax.
