Winlock Senior Evan Mitchell rumbles ahead with the football against Toutle Lake. Mitchell rushed for 88 yards during a 40-21 loss to the Ducks.

Toledo 34 Onalaska 24

Toledo jumped to a big lead and then Onalaska scored a defensive touchdown and two scores against the Indians back-up defenders to make the scoreboard look like a battle had taken place. The Indians forced six Logger turnovers while Taylor Hicks rumbled for 186 yards. Mason Gaul added 75 yards of rushing while QB Dalton Yoder connected seven passes for 178 yards. Grant McEwen was on the receiving end of 166 yards of passing and touchdown scores of 80 and 70 yards. Hicks had two TDs while Gaul opened the game with the first Indian score.

Toledo is still undefeated at 5-0 but faces unbeaten Napavine in a huge Central 2B match-up this Friday at Napavine.

Toutle Lake 40 Winlock 21

Shawn Berry and Evan Mitchell had huge nights for the Cardinals, but Winlock came up short in an exciting 2B Central match-up on Friday night. After Winlock scored the first TD, nearly making a statement, Toutle Lake rattled off 26 straight points thanks to gracious Cardinal miscues and turnovers. Mitchell ran for 88 yards and a TD, while Shawn Berry ran for 97 yards and caught four passes amounting to 71 yards of offense and scored two of the Cardinal TDs.

Winlock, now 0-5 on the season will travel to Adna on Friday for a Central 2B league match.

La Center 28, Castle Rock 7

Shawn Godinho caught a pass for a touchdown in Castle Rock's Trico League loss at La Center on Friday night. The Rockets were behind just 14-7 at halftime but gave up two scores in the second half.

The Rockets moved the ball well with several trips into the red zone, but couldn't finish drives. CR QB Mason Klingberg connected on 6 passes for 91 yards.

Castle Rock (1-4) will travel to Vancouver for a match with Seton Catholic before hosting three games in a row at home.
