Coucilwoman Supports McClain for Prosecutor

Mark is an effective, efficient and talented Prosecuting Attorney who came here
and immediately made a positive impact on the office and the community.

Within two months of being hired, Mark brought a murder
case to trial. This is a substantial accomplishment for any lawyer.
Mark worked nights, weekends and even traveled to his witnesses to
make sure justice was served. 

The trial was scheduled to take three
weeks with more than fifty witnesses, but when Mark took over the case
he was able to complete the case in just one week and secure a
conviction along with the aggravating factors against the defendant,
thus saving county taxpayers as much as $250,000 in defense costs and
other related costs associated with the case. I do not believe this
would have been possible without Mark. 

Mark is respected by those who
work in the legal system, including defense attorneys, crime victims
and law enforcement alike.  His knowledge, professionalism and ability
to work with others made him a success. 

Mark is also someone who
became a part of the community as a football official, basketball
official and an Elks member. 

As someone who has served this community
as both a member of the Prosecutor's Office from 1990-2012 and as an
elected city councilwoman for over 17 years, I know how important it
is to hire the right person as a County Prosecutor.
