Centralia College asking for tool donations

Centralia College’s Leadership Development Team is gathering garden tools and supplies to support the Teens Entering Education Now (TEEN) Grow program. The drive runs through the first week in June.

The tools and supplies will provide teenage mothers enrolled in the program with tools to work the soil and grow vegetables they sell throughout the summer at their fresh produce stand on the college campus, across the street from the Health and Wellness Center.

The TEEN program provides support services to help students as they attend high school classes, graduate and gain parenting skills. The program also introduces a network of other resources and expose them to opportunities academically and vocationally.

The Leadership Development Team is looking for donations of any type of gardening tools and supplies, including small hand tools, large shovels and rakes, watering equipment, gloves, and wheelbarrows.

For more info call 360-736-9391, ext. 483.
