Vernal Equinox Art Fair coming up

The Morgan Arts Centre will be hosting theVernal Equinox Art Fair Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Many local artists will be featured, and a special live music presentation will take place Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m. Refreshments will also be available. For more information, call (360) 864-4ART or visit www.MorganArtsCentre.com.

Grange planning craft sale for March 29

St. Urban Grange will be hosting their annual Fabric, Crafts & More sale March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is an opportunity to clean out your stash of fabrics, yarn, notions, collectibles, etc. that you no longer need, use, or want. Do you have a craft you would like to sell? Mark your calendar and reserve a table now for this opportunity to clean out what you don’t use or add to your new, or continuing interest. Tables are a $20 donation, which benefit’s the Veterans Quilt Project sponsored by St. Urban Grange. Coffee House at Toledo High School

Toledo High School will be hosting one of their regular Coffee House music programs March 25 and community members are invited to attend.

Featuring talent from students as well as local artists, the event is free to attend, and a pasta meal will be available for $3. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will finish around 9:30 p.m. in the High School Commons.

CR Baptist to host Pinewood Derby Saturday

First Baptist Church of Castle Rock will be hosting their annual Pinewood Derby Race this Saturday, with the first race starting at 1 p.m. and the second race at 2 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to come and support the students participating in the event, and free popcorn will be made available. Prizes will also be awarded to the winners.

Those registering a car will need to be at the church 15 minutes prior to their race. To find out when you have been scheduled to race, call the church at (360) 274-4113.

Ash Kicker registration open

Registration is open for this year’s Ash Kicker, a 5k adventure run/event scheduled for May 17.

Taking place at the Toutle River RV Resort, in Castle Rock, prizes will be awarded for best times best costumes, and Most Realistic Sasquatch. Music, beer and BBQ will also be provided, and proceeds will benefit local community programs.
