The Pacific County Commissioners met Tuesday, August 11 to discuss the general business of the county. To start things off the Commissioners approved the meeting's consent agenda, which contained the appointment of Stacy Fiscia for Environmental Health Specialist for the Department of Community Development, the approval of the Assessor's office disposing a Dell computer work station, the approval of Doug Camenzind to the Weed Control Board for another four year term.
The consent agenda also contained the July 2015 payroll; which was $751,111.69 with a total of 192 employees.
Following the consent agenda the commissioners moved into the items regarding the Department of Public Works, where the commissioners considered the approval of Local Agency Agreements for road repairs of South Valley Road, and Butte Creek Road. The use of Morehead county Park was authorized for a Special Event use as well.
The commissioners next approved the wage increase of Richard Mark to $18 an hour, and Richard Ashley to $17 for Vegetation Management, and then approved the Interagency Agreements with the Washington State Department of Agriculture to eradicate Spartina, as well as knotweed in Pacific County.
The board considered approval of the change of name of the Human Services Advisory Council, and accepted the resignation of Doug Vial from the Collector position of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.
The next Pacific County Commissioners meeting will be held Tuesday, August 25 at the Courthouse annex at 9am.
