The daily limit has been raised from 5 to 10 and opening the fishing hole for anyone wishing to try their luck with a trout. The seasonal amendment to pond rules runs during the month of November. The official start runs one hour before official sunrise on Nov.1 through one hour after official sunset on Nov. 30.
At Case's Pond, there is a fishing dock/platform area with rough trails extending around the majority of the pond. Signage at the pond parking area notes routes of foot travel in the area.
The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife will be stocking rivers throughout Washington with an estimated 300,000 Rainbow's. The trout will be of catchable size ranging from 10-12 inches. The push is to increase winter recreational fishing opportunities to inland waters including the Southwest Washington region.
After November, the pond will be closed from December 1, 2014 - April 25, 2015 (fourth Saturday in April 2015). At that time Case's Pond will revert to a juvenile fishing pond allowing those 14 years or younger to fish with no minimum size limit, up to five fish daily.
Additional areas already stocked are Vance Creek Ponds #1 and #2, as well as ponds in Island, King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston and Whatcom Counties. It is further noted that any angler is required to have a fishing license valid through March 31, 2015.
